The Promise

Manuel Jacobs is involved on the periphery of the drug trade in the Cape Flats in Cape Town. His father, a former gang member, was paralysed after a gang shooting.

Manuel is faced with many choices. He has promised his father that he will stay clear of the drug trade. This is but one of many promises (and threats) made. Manuel meets the Khan family who are the opposite of his family.

Will Manuel break his promise or embrace the values of the Khan family?

This book is aimed at children aged 12 to 16 years.

Born in the Shade

The story of Sammy and Pearl, both extraordinarily bright, who face prejudice, kidnapping and other obstacles, simply because they were born with albinism.

A lack of knowledge of the true facts surrounding albinism puts them in danger as old beliefs rear their ugly heads.

Thanks to their parents’ love and devotion as well as their own abilities, these children do not only survive... they prosper!

This book is aimed at children aged 13 to 16 years.
